Cavity Bowl XXXV

TGC #1 Edible Lawn Flamingos 74 , LFC #1 Funk Masters 49

Edible Lawn Flamingos is our Cavity Bowl Champions. They were led by DEF - Denver with 34 points for the week. They also received big contributions from RB - Jaymyr Gibbs - Det with 18 points and QB - Caleb Williams - Chi with 17 points. Funk Masters were led by QB - Lamar Jackson - Bal with 33 points and RB - Chase Brown - Cin with 12 points. This is Edible Lawn Flamingos team owner Andrew Woodward's second Cavity Bowl Championship, they also won in 2023 and now have a record of 2-2 in the Cavity Bowl. Funk Masters team owners John Fogle & Eli Monhemius now have a record of 1-2 in the Cavity Bowl. 

Total Points Champion

Backyard Lounge is our Botkin Trophy winner with a final total of 1370 points for the season. They had the weekly high in points for week 18 with 88 which helped fend off Edible Lawn Flamingos who finished 29 points behind. This is the first time in three seasons that the Total Points Champion finished with under 1400 points. This is Backyard Lounge team owner Nate Goellrich's third Botkin Trophy win, they also won the award in 2006 and 2010. This is the fifth time that Edible Lawn Flamingos team owner Andrew Woodward has finished in second place in the Total Points Standings.

Boob of the Year Champion

Trevor Lawrence & Friends are the Boob of the Year Champion for their last place finish in the Total Points Standings. This is Trevor Lawrence & Friends team owner Jacob Lyberg's second time winning the award. They were unable to pass St Matthew Sharks & Florida Flesheaters of Doom in the final week to avoid finishing in last place. This is the second time in league history that the last place team finished above 900 points on the season, the other season that this happened was in 2023.

Remember to check your scoring each week. If you find any errors, please let me know. Also remember that all scoring becomes official after two weeks and cannot be changed after that time (Ex. Week 1 is official after Week 3).

Free Agency

After the inital 17 round draft, free agency will begin at 12:00 pm (noon) eastern time zone on Monday after the start of Week 1. Players will now be available to be picked up anytime on any day through the end of the season; and each team is limited to claiming one player in a week. If you want to have a claimed player in your starting line-up; that player must be picked up 24 hours prior to kickoff for that week's Thursday or Saturday's Game, and by 1:00 pm for Sunday and Monday games. All times are Eastern.

If more than one owner is interested in claiming a player off free agency, the one that claims them first has rights to them. This will be confirmed with time stamps on phone calls, texts and/or emails. Email your roster change request to just4funleague@yahoo.com

All Rosters can be expanded to 20 positions at any point of the season. There is no limit as to the number of transactions that can be made during the season but the limit of one per week would remain. Once the roster limit of 20 has been reached, in order to acquire a player, you must release a player to stay at the limit of 20.

I MUST receive and approve the transaction at least 24 hours prior to the game that the player is in, except for Monday games.

Weekly Lineups

Remember our procedure for submitting your weekly lineup. Since we have Thursday games ever week, you do need to activate or deactivate players for those games prior to gametime. If you leave a player in your active lineup and do not remove him before a Thursday game, he MUST remain in your lineup for that weeks' games. If you so choose, you do not have to submit your full lineup by Thursday, only the players you want active for then. All lineups must be fully submitted no later than 1:00 pm (EDT) on Sunday.
